Awareness on Prevention of Sexual Harassment for Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition &Redressal) Act, 2013

The Act defines sexual harassment at the workplace and creates a mechanism for redressal of complaints and safeguards against false or malicious charges. Every employer is required to constitute an Internal Complaints Committee(ICC) at each office or branch with 10 or more employees. The POSH Act has taken from this convention, aspects of equality of women in the workplace, gender-specific violence, and unwelcome sexually colored behavior and adopted them to come out with a strong legislature. 

 

PoSH training has become the core program of WEEDS for the past 7 years. The awareness training about the act to women employees has enlightened them about the law. It has been observed that there were radical changes among employees after the training program where WEEDS gave awareness. WEEDS majorly focuses on garment companies where the majority of women are working under men.

WEEDS not only enlightens working women about the law and is also involved in the Internal compliance committee (ICC) to discuss issues faced by the women in the companies. WEEDS has tie up with 50+ companies where we give awareness training among the employees on PoSH act, 2013 and also form the Internal Complaints Committee.
