Over the past six months, Womens Education and Economic Development Society (WEEDS) has been collaborating with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to enhance the economic empowerment of rural-periurban women. So far, the project has achieved significant success, directly impacting 1740 women. We have effectively raised awareness among women regarding the advantages of Self Help Groups (SHG), facilitated the formation of new SHGs, and provided financial literacy training to members, and have conducted 29 training sessions in various locations within the Kundrathur block of Kancheepuram district. Looking ahead, our goal is to expand our reach to more unreached women in the coming months.
